Admission requirements for the
Mathematics Program are the same as the university
admission requirements. Applications can be downloaded
from the UH Admissions
Web Site.
Mathematics students must have
overall GPAs of at least 2.0. Students whose
GPAs in mathematics courses fall below 2.5 may
be advised to consider changing majors.
Students who do not initially
declare mathematics as their major must submit
a petition to the Department of Mathematics if
they decide later to change their major to mathematics.
.
An official degree plan should be
completed during the second semester of the sophomore
year or the first semester of the junior year.
The Department
of Mathematics offers several courses for which
mathematics majors may
not receive credit. Consult the mathematics
course descriptions in the Undergraduate Catalog.
