Dynamical Systems Seminar

Abstract

We give a simplified treatment of decay of correlations for nonuniformly expanding systems, combining operator renewal theory with dynamical truncation. In addition to being simplified, the method is also more flexible, applying to general return time functions and requiring weaker conditions on transfer operators than is customary. This is joint work with Dalia Terhesiu.
