Dynamical Systems Seminar

For systems with symmetry, it is possible to find robust heteroclinic cycles and networks. In this seminar, we are interested in the study of the geometrical behaviour of trajectories in a neighbourhood of a special class of heteroclinic networks, near which we observe chaotic dynamics. More precisely, we present two persistent phenomena which we call switching and double cycling, and some dynamical consequences. This is a joint work with Isabel Labouriau and Manuela Aguiar, in the context of my PhD.
