Dynamical Systems Seminar

Abstract

In this talk, we will discuss the difficulty in the study of singular flows, and present some recent progress on the entropy theory for Lorenz attractors in any dimension. In particular, we will show that every sectional hyperbolic set is robustly entropy expansive, and every Lyapunov stable sectional hyperbolic set has positive entropy. Finally, we will show that for generic \(C^1\) flows, every Lorenz-like class is an attractor. This is joint work with Maria Jose Pacifico and Jiagang Yang.
