One circular particle sedimentation:
To test collision strategy, we consider a 2D numerical
simulation of one circular particle in a rectangular channel obtained
by a distributed Lagrange multipliers/fictitious domain method.
Geometry, parameters, initial and boundary conditions:
- We choose no-slip boundary conditions on the boundary of this close channel.
- The x and y dimensions of a closed channel are 3.2 and 15.25 inches.
- The circular particle is initially located at given position (0.8", 15").
- The radius of the circular particle is 0.125 inch.
- The density of particle is 1.14.
- The density of fluid is 1.
- The viscosity of fluid is 0.01.
- At the beginning, fluid and particles are at rest.
