'Genome order index' should not be used for defining compositional constraints in nucleotide sequences

We discuss a recently proposed
constraint on the statistical structure of the genome sequence and find
that it is mathematically inconsistent with well known biological
features of the genome.
There has been some controversy
with this publication.
