You are eligible to become a member of Pi Mu Epsilon if you are a candidate for an undergraduate degree at
the University of Houston and meet all of the following three requirements:
You have completed at least the equivalent of two semesters of calculus and two additional
courses in mathematics, at or above the calculus level, all of which lead to the fulfillment of the requirements
for a major in the mathematical sciences.
Your overall GPA is 3.0 or higher.
Your GPA in just your math classes is 3.0 or higher.
If you are a transfer student to UH, all of your past courses and grades taken at post-secondary institutions count towards the computation of your overall GPA and your
math GPA.
Each semester, we send out an email to all
math students inviting those who are eligible for membership to apply. If you have not received this
email in the past, or wish to be on the next email we send out, please
contact the PME Faculty Advisor.
